1. Introduction & Our Commitment to Privacy
Femsyn ("we", "us", or "our") takes your privacy seriously. We recognize that members of our community share deeply personal information and trust us to handle it with the utmost care. This Privacy Policy explains precisely what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and protected, who may access it, and the robust rights you hold over your own information.
We value user privacy as a foundational principle, not an afterthought. We collect only what is necessary, protect it rigorously, never sell or rent it, and give you meaningful control over your own data at every stage.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information reasonably necessary to operate and improve the Platform:
- Account information – email address, username, and profile details you voluntarily provide at registration or in your profile.
- Profile content – photos, biographical information, preferences, and other content you choose to add to your profile.
- Usage data – anonymized or pseudonymized data about pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns, used solely to improve Platform performance and features.
- Technical data – IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and session data collected automatically for security, fraud prevention, and Platform stability.
- Communications metadata – the fact that messages were exchanged between users (sender, recipient, timestamp) for abuse-detection and safety purposes. See Section 4 for important details on message content.
We do not collect sensitive categories of personal data (such as biometric data or government-issued identification) unless required by law.
3. Staff Access: No Access to Messages or Profiles
Femsyn staff members have no routine access to the content of your private messages or your profile information. We enforce strict, role-based access controls (RBAC) on all internal systems. Access to any user data is:
- Granted only on a documented, need-to-know basis;
- Limited to the minimum data required for the specific, authorized purpose;
- Fully logged and subject to regular internal audit;
- Restricted to situations involving a specific, documented user complaint, a valid legal obligation, or an imminent safety risk.
No staff member may access, read, copy, or export your message content or profile for any purpose outside of those limited circumstances. Violations of this policy are subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination and legal proceedings.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely for the following purposes:
- To create, maintain, and secure your account;
- To match and connect you with other users on the Platform;
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and safety violations;
- To enforce our Terms of Service;
- To respond to your support requests;
- To send essential service-related notices (e.g., security alerts, policy updates);
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your data for profiling for advertising purposes or for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you without your explicit consent.
5. Information Sharing - We Never Resell Your Data
We will never sell, rent, lease, license, or otherwise commercially transfer your personal information to any third party, under any circumstances. We do not share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other commercial parties.
We may share your information in only the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Trusted vendors (e.g., hosting, email delivery, analytics) who process data strictly on our behalf, under binding confidentiality and data-processing agreements, and solely to the extent necessary to provide their service to us;
- Legal obligations: Where required by a valid court order, subpoena, or applicable law - we will notify you to the extent permitted by law before complying;
- Safety: Where necessary to protect the safety or vital interests of a user or the public;
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data would be transferred only to a successor that agrees to be bound by this Privacy Policy.
6. Access Controls & Security
We implement comprehensive, layered security measures to protect your personal information:
- Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest;
- Access controls: Role-based access controls limit which employees can access which systems, and all access is logged;
- Authentication: Staff access to production systems requires strong authentication;
- Audits: We conduct regular security reviews and access audits;
- Minimization: We limit the personal data collected and retained to what is strictly necessary;
- Incident response: We maintain a documented incident-response plan and will notify affected users in the event of a data breach as required by applicable law.
While we employ rigorous security practices, no system is entirely impenetrable. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to enable any additional security features we offer.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as your account is active or as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, and in any case no longer than required by applicable law. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it. Specific retention periods:
- Account and profile data – retained for the life of your account plus up to 30 days after deletion to allow for account recovery, then permanently deleted;
- Message content – retained for the life of the conversation or until deleted by participants, then permanently deleted;
- Usage and technical logs – retained for up to 12 months for security and fraud-prevention purposes, then deleted or anonymized.
8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
The Platform uses strictly necessary cookies to maintain your authenticated session and ensure Platform security. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising or cross-site behavioral profiling. Any analytics cookies we use are anonymized and used solely to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the Platform experience. You may disable cookies in your browser settings; however, doing so may affect Platform functionality.
9. Your Rights
We respect your rights over your personal data. Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Deletion ("right to be forgotten"): Request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal obligations;
- Portability: Receive your personal data in a portable, machine-readable format;
- Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances;
- Objection: Object to certain types of processing, including any direct marketing;
- Withdraw Consent: Withdraw any consent you have provided at any time, without penalty and without affecting prior lawful processing;
- Non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, submit a request to admin@femdomnation.org. We will respond within 30 days of receipt of a verifiable request. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request.
10. Children's Privacy
Femsyn is strictly intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a minor, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at admin@femdomnation.org.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will prominently post a notice on the Platform and, where practicable, notify you via the email address associated with your account at least 14 days before the changes take effect. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of the revised Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
12. Contact & Complaints
If you have questions, concerns, or complaints about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us at admin@femdomnation.org. We take all privacy concerns seriously and will respond promptly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority in your jurisdiction if you believe your rights have been violated.
